Named for the fog that sits on the Douro until about eleven most mornings in spring, which is roughly the colour of the cloth.
Bias cutting wastes cloth and I hate that, so this is the only bias piece in the collection and it is cut in a lay that puts the offcuts straight into the facings of the Rua Jacket. Nothing from this dress leaves the building as waste.
The hem is rolled and worked by hand because a machine-rolled bias hem ripples within a season. It is two hours of somebody's day per dress.
